The Latin Breed™
![]() Since its formation in the '70s, "The Breed" continues to top the Tejano radio charts with its "perfect pitch" lead vocalist at the helm of both an undeniable repertoire of nostalgic hits, and hit parade of consistent new releases. THE LATIN BREED sound has been mimicked time after time, but there are, in fact, those among the "Totally Tejano" hard-core music followers that truly understand. Come what may, THE LATIN BREED traditions are "UNSTOPPABLE."

West Lincoln is the story of the Santiago family. This is a family that is faced with the harsh realities of a young family member who becomes a victim of a fatal shooting. Josh Santiago Nava is an honor student and aspiring boxer. His hopes and dreams are shattered as a result of a horrible crime. This story tells how the Santiago family copes with this horrible tragedy and the conflict it creates between the communities of Lincoln Heights and West Lincoln. This is a portrayal of how family and friends are brought together in a time of crisis. Most importantly, it is a portrayal of how it changed lives in an inspirational way, especially a troubled, rebellious family member named Mingo. This was devastating for Mingo. He was devastated by the death of his closest cousin Josh. This story is all too common in cities throughout the United States. West Lincoln was inspired by true events of a young man growing up in the neighborhood of Diamond Hill-Jarvis within the city of Fort Worth, TX. He was a young, charismatic 17 year old who was popular among his classmates and admired by his teachers. Unfortunately, he also became a victim of a fatal shooting. This story made headlines in 1978 and created an uproar between the rival communities of Northside and Diamond Hill-Jarvis. The violence escalated in the two communities and throughout the city , especially in the Northside community where the shooter was from. It wasn’t until the killer was convicted and sentenced to prison that the violence stopped and the family and communities were finally put to ease. Although West Lincoln is a fictional community, the setting for West Lincoln is within Fort Worth, 1995
